Embraer S.A. is a Brazilian aerospace, it is the third-largest commercial aircraft manufacturer in the world, and the fourth-largest aircraft manufacturer when including business jets into account, and it is Brazil’s top exporter of industrial products.
Embraer S.A. CEO, Frederico Curado, is the 2012 recipient of the Tony Jannus Award, given annually for distinguished contributions to commercial aviation. Embraer is a member of the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG).
Embraer E-Jets Family
The Embraer E-Jets are a series of twin-engine, medium-range, narrow-body, jet airliners produced by Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace conglomerate that produces commercial, military, and corporate aircraft. The Primary users of Embraer are Republic Airways, Air canada, JetBlue Airways, and Compass Airlines. The Embraer was announced at the Paris Air Show in 1999, and entering production in 2002, the aircraft series has been a success. As of January 11, 2012, there is a backlog of 249 firm orders for the E-Jets, 695 options and 802 units delivered.
