The Normal Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) launched yesterday (27th June 2011) the GCAA new Aviation Safety e-services in the special ceremony located in Emirates Engineering Auditorium in Dubai, attended by 100 representatives from Aviation Sector in UAE.

Speaking about the occasion, Ismaeil Al Belooshi Executive Director Safety Affairs in GCAA said: “The GCAA is enhancing it services by transforming Air Operations and Airworthiness services to electronic to offer best services to its stakeholders to be able to make simpler the process which is an alternative choice to the standard way, this may also permit the GCAA to make the most of the current technologies while keeping the desired regular of safety.”
“The user can make application for one of the Aviation Safety services through GCAA website using secured credential which is supplied by GCAA. Several constraints is going to be placed in the device to ensure the assistance presented to the best requirements that may save time and helpful information on both GCAA customers and also the inspector, and may decrease the time for the consumer as well as the staff taking care of the application”. He added.
The Flight Operation e-services include initialing, amendment, renewal, and denomination of air operator certificates, operations specifications, instructor or examiner. Airworthiness e-services include certificates’ registration, issuance, amendment and deregistration, along with kind certificate validation and design modification.
The GCAA has issued, over the last 5 months, 2 Air Operations Certificates, 31 aircraft registration certificates, 23 airworthiness certificates, and 11 licensing for aircraft maintenance companies.
