Rockwell Collins gets $160M Air Force contract
Aviation electronic systems manufacturer Rockwell Collins said Monday that it has won a 160 million US-dollar contract to upgrade communication systems for US air force jets that refuel aircraft.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the company will update the flight management system, displays, data transmission and video surveillance systems KC-10 tankers to meet the needs of the air traffic control in the future, Rockwell Collins said in a statement.
The new systems will get the tank to their destinations more quickly and to operate commercial air space around the world, said the statement.
The statement did not say when the work will begin or how long the contract.
